Eva Vivian, associate professor (CHS) in the Pharmacy Practice Division, is one of eight colleagues on campus selected to receive the 2014-15 Outstanding Women of Color award.
Recipients were nominated based on their work both on campus and in the Madison community. Vivian’s nomination outlined her tremendous commitment to academics, research, improving access and quality of healthcare to low-income populations, and her efforts to establish sustainable community partnerships.
The UW-Madison Outstanding Women of Color Awards were established in order to recognize the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of women of color on campus. The winners will be honored at a free reception on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 5-7 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge of the Pyle Center.
