On March 25, 2017 the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy hosted more than 75 alumni, friends, faculty, and students at a reception at the APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition held in San Francisco. Remarks were given by Dean Steven Swanson, Professor (CHS) Mara Keiser (BS ‘81, MS ‘84), and Associate Professor (CHS) Beth Martin (BS ‘90, MS ‘03, PhD ‘06) after which everyone joined in singing a rendition of Varsity. The host of PBS’s Antique Roadshow, Mark Walberg, stopped by to interview some of the student attendees and, while there, received his very own All Ways Forward Campaign pin. Receptions like these are a great way for our alumni to reconnect and network with our aspiring pharmacy students. The next time you attend a pharmacy-related conference, check to see if there’s a UW-Madison School of Pharmacy reception and be sure to stop by and say hello!
