John Dopp and Casey Gallimore, associate professors (CHS), in the Pharmacy Practice Division, addressed the topic “Exploring Treatments For The Upcoming Allergy Season” on a recent edition of The Larry Meiller Show on Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR). The Larry Meiller Show is a weekday show on the WPR’s Ideas Network that discusses environmental and consumer issues, gardening and helpful “how-to” topics with his guests. The clinical interests of John Dopp include the treatment of sleep disorders and management of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. His research interests include mechanisms for cardiovascular disease in patients with obstructive sleep apnea and identification of interventions and therapies to minimize and prevent cardiovascular complications. Casey Gallimore practices pharmacy at Wingra Family Medicine Clinic in Madison. Her clinic practice focuses on chronic disease state management. She also has a strong interest in psychiatric pharmacy and is working to establish psychiatric pharmacy services. Casey’s research interest is focused in educational based scholarship.
