Barry Gidal, professor (CHS), and Division Chair of the Pharmacy Practice Division, shared his expertise as an invited presenter at two meetings in South Africa this spring.
Gidal participated in a panel discussion at the 2nd African Epilepsy Congress (AEC) in Cape Town, South Africa in May. Entitled, “Epilepsy in Africa: Bridging the gap,” the second AEC was a significant scientific event for the epilepsy community in Africa and farther afield. Gidal was a lead speaker in the round table discussion entitled, “Epilepsy management guidelines and their implementation.”
While in South Africa, Gidal also presented at a meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa in the Western Cape.
